Final Revision

Hello, it's Renato Corrales back with another blog. Today my group completed a few changes to finalize our final task. In our peer review, our peer made a few criticisms of our film. We took this as an opportunity to take this and improve our film. All of us in the group wanted to make this film as best as it could be. One critic that was commented on was the acting. Our peer said that our acting could've better to help captivate our audience better. So we decided to do just that and refilm some dialogue scenes. We refilmed the scenes of me and Isahiah on the phone right away. We attempted many takes wanting to perfect the acting. Both I and Isahiah kept in mind the emotion of sadness and frustration that our character felt. We tried to portray this best with our acting and after several attempts, we were satisfied with our new scenes. We had Conner and Finn as well as our friend look at our new footage and review it. We as a group thought the new scenes were better and also h

Peer Review

After days of editing, our film was ready for peer review. A fellow classmate joined us for the screening. Their reaction said a lot of things. We eagerly awaited their feedback. They praised our editing and stunning visuals. However, they also offered some constructive criticism. Their suggestions for reshooting scenes connected with us. The peer review challenged us to push see things from a new perspective. We took in their feedback for improvement. We saw this as getting closer our ideal boxing film . The review made us strive for perfection. We reflected on this criticism, and decided to come up with a plan. With a new mindset, we wanted to have higher standards. The peer review was an overall learning experience for our group. We were thankful to our classmate for taking the time to review and put some thought into our film. They ended up saying we could’ve done better in the scenes such as the news reports and dialogue scenes. For our news report, our peer said we could’ve have

Finishing Editing

Hello, it's Renato Corrales back with another blog. Today, I'll be talking about wrapping up editing for our "The Zoo" culture club gym. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, we had tons of tools and features at our disposal. Being mentioned before, with the tons of footage we had, importing them into the Adobe timeline feature was the first step to creating our story with now all of our footage. We used Adobe's collaborative tools,  sharing project files and exchanging feedback in real-time. As we trimmed, cut, and rearranged clips, Adobe's interface only motivated our group to focus on as many details as possible. Transitions were important to us and utilizing Adobe's effects helped enhance our storytelling. The audio aspect of Adobe Audition allows us to as well play with the level of sounds from our dialogue to sound backgrounds. With Adobe After Effects,  adding our titles with our fonts and special effects helped our film really stand out. As the editing process

Finalizing Filming

Image
Hello it's Renato Corrales back with another blog. Today's plan was to finalize the last scenes we had to do for filming our movie. We have already filmed some scenes of my character training, a few of me and Finn, and Isahiah and I's dialogue. However, we still needed to get some crucial scenes of all of us together and most importantly in a boxing location. This was an obstacle we had had for a while due to the availability of a boxing location being very limited for us. Our first problem was finding a gym we could all go to. We needed to find a gym that had a boxing ring but that was not very common. After doing some searching we were able to find a gym called "The Zoo" culture club gym that had one. The next problem was filming. We needed to know if we were going to be able to be allowed and whether we could all go, due to The Zoo being a private gym. This was our plan since the beginning but could not move any forward since we needed to either pay to the gym

Editing

Hello it's Renato Corrales back with another blog. Today, I'll be talking about our editing process. We have still yet to film more shots of our shots but could say we are more then half done. So after our filming sessions at the beach and the restaurant, we decided to start editing. Our first task was to sift through all the footage we captured. Conner's drone shots added a new perspective, so we could creative how we pieces it together. We carefully selected the best takes and began piecing together our story. We experimented with transitions, music, and sound effects to enhance the overall mood and tone of the film throguh the use of Adobe. Isahiah's dialogue scenes were particularly challenging to edit, but we worked to find the perfect balance of the background audio and his voice. As we continued editing, we constantly referred back to our storyboard for the film, to have something to indicate our story. Collaboration  was key throughout the editing process, with
