Production Blog: Location and Time

Hello, it's me Renato Corrales back with another blog. Today I will be writing about the planning process of settling and preparing to start the music video. When it came to location, I first had to talk to each one of my members. Since we all live in different areas, we needed to figure out an area near all of us. When discussing an area near all of us, we thought it would be best an area with many shops and stores. After searching we thought the Galleria Mall would be best for our shoot. It is right in the middle between me and Connor and is a location Isahiah and Finn go to often. We thought this was best due to many reasons. There is a neighborhood right behind where we can project our scenes such as finding a dog walking around. Another is the CVS only a block down where we can reenact the scenes of giving back to the community. We decided to replace the CVS instead of the dollar tree originally chosen in our storyboard, due to it being more convenient to everybody. Finally, the Galleria gives a ton of different opportunities. When it comes to the stores, there is plenty of variety where the music video could take place, we have stores like Macy's or Zara. These can represent the jewelry store scene originally planned. Stores like Toyland can represent a store where we can give toys to kids, a backup scene we have planned. When it comes to time, that is still trying to be determined. When talking with my groupmates none of the weekday really worked for any of us, due to sports and afterschool activities, so that had to be taken out of our planning. When it came to Finn and Isahiah, the weekend of the 28th would be best. For Connor and I, the weekend of the 21st would be best. The time of when to meet up is still in the air and is the next goal to determine for the production of our music video.
